GIF Cropper
Most online GIF croppers upload your file, and a good few hand back a still image. This one crops every frame in your browser, keeps the original timing and transparency, and re-encodes with a single locked palette so the colours do not drift.

Questions
Will cropping break the animation?
No. The GIF is decoded into full frames — including the disposal handling that trips up naive croppers — then each frame is cropped and the animation is rebuilt with its original delays.
Why did my cropped GIF get bigger?
It usually does not, but it can if the source was heavily optimised with partial frames. This tool writes full frames with one shared palette, which is more predictable and usually smaller. If size matters, drop the frame rate.
Can I crop to something other than a square?
Right now the output is square, at any size you type. Square is what emotes, emoji, stickers and avatars all need, and it is what this tool is built around.
Does it keep transparent backgrounds?
Yes, with one caveat that is true of the format rather than the tool: GIF transparency is on or off with nothing in between, so soft anti-aliased edges harden. The tool warns you when your image has them.
Can I crop a GIF for a Twitch emote or a Discord emoji?
Yes, and cropping first is usually the right order. Crop away the empty space, then send the result to the Twitch GIF emote resizer or the Discord GIF resizer, where the platform limits are applied. A tighter crop means the subject survives the drop to 28 or 128 pixels far better.
