Questions
Which crop should I choose, centre or pad?
Crop when the subject is already near the middle and the edges are background. Pad when the whole image matters — a logo, a piece of art with margins — and you would rather have transparent space than lose part of it.
Does it keep transparency?
Yes. Output is PNG, and transparent areas stay transparent through the crop and the resize. The preview uses a checkerboard so you can see exactly which parts are see-through.
What about the file size?
No site we know of publishes an avatar file size limit tight enough to matter, so nothing is compressed by default. If a site does reject yours, drop the size to 256 and re-download.
Is there a watermark or a daily limit?
No to both, and there is no account either. The tool is a static page with no server behind it, so there is nothing to meter.
Can I use it as a circle photo cropper?
For a profile picture, yes, and this is the version you want. The crop is square and a circle preview sits next to it, which is exactly what every platform expects — they apply the round mask themselves. Uploading an already-circular image just means the corners get cut twice.
Which sizes should I download?
Take all of them. 512 is your archive copy, 256 covers most upload forms, and 128 is roughly what other people see. Judging the crop at 128 rather than at 512 is the single thing that most improves a profile picture.
Profile cropper, PFP cropper, avatar cropper — which one is this?
All three, and the distinction is only vocabulary. Whatever the site you are uploading to calls the picture, it wants a square file that survives a circular mask, and that is what comes out of here.
