What size is a Twitch subscriber badge?

72×72, 36×36 and 18×18, all three required, as transparent PNGs. Each file has to be 25 KB or smaller.

How do I get a badge under 25 KB?

By reducing the number of colours rather than the dimensions, which are fixed. This tool walks the palette down until the file fits and reports the colour count it landed on. Flat badge artwork usually survives that with no visible change.

Are badges and emotes the same upload?

No, and confusing them is the most common mistake on this topic. Badges are 72/36/18 at 25 KB. Emotes are 112/56/28 at 1 MB. The 25 KB number belongs here and nowhere else.

What about badge flair for Tier 2 and Tier 3?

Same three sizes and the same 25 KB per file, but six files in total. Run your flair artwork through the tool the same way.

Can a badge be animated?

No. Subscriber badges are static PNGs. If you drop an animated GIF here the first frame is used.
